The Ring (2002)

I know. Most of you have seen this movie, but I must write about it. It is, after all, a horror movie classic by now and it is very, very good.

The premise of this movie is that if you watch a certain video tape, you will die in seven days after watching it.

Each person who watches it, gets a phone call wherein a menacing voice pronounces, "Seven Days!," meaning they have only seven days left to live.

When this happens to Rachel (Naomi Watts), she works madly to discover the secret behind the tape. This leads her to the discovery of a sinister presence, an evil child spirit who is wreaking as much destruction in death as she did in life.

This movie includes footage of an incredibly creepy, horrific ghost who emerges through the tape to physically kill her victims. Incredible as it sounds, the movie is extremely well done and the acting impeccable.

If you're looking for something to make your skin crawl, with excellent acting, script and cinematography, you must watch The Ring.
