The Ghost Woman
Let me start by saying that we live in a duplex, a very nice one might I add. I like it a lot. We have lived here for about 5 or 6 years. During those years my sister and mom have experienced things. My mom has had the feeling of being watched and my sister has woken up to this old woman standing in her doorway staring at her.
Even my cousins have seen this woman in the basement and kitchen. Now one might think that I would be afraid to live in my house, but no, I didn't believe it. I mean I had never seen or heard anything. So I just didn't really pay attention to this so-called "ghost" until one night about 3 months ago I was downstairs by myself.
It was about 1:30 and I was lying on the couch on my laptop surfing the Internet. We have this entryway that leads to the front door and the couch faces the entry way. So I look over into the entry way and what do I see? A shadow, YES, a frigging shadow!!
I kind of brush it off at first thinking it was just a normal shadow from the lights being turned off. But I'm still staring at it and that's when I realize that the shadow kind of looks three dimensional, like it's separated from the other shadows. I freak out and draw my knees up to my chest but only for a few seconds before I jump up and run to turn on the light.
When I turn it on I see this woman in white kind of peeking around the corner at me. She's only there for a second or two before she disappears. I am scared, so I pick up my laptop and run upstairs.
For a few months nothing has really happened to me. But last week I am in my bedroom kind of dozing off. It's dark in my room except for a street light outside of my window. For some reason I open my eyes and I see the face of a woman looking at me from across the room. I'm just laying in bed staring at it, kind of shocked but still very scared.
She stares at me for a minute and then disappears. This has happened to me two nights in a row so now I sleep with the TV on. Ever since then nothing has happened except for the occasional shadow outside my bedroom door.
