It's when it's been sitting on the road for a bit, that gives it it's flavor.
The longer it sit, the riper it gets, hehe.

Are we serving this over rice? And what happens if the road kill isn't completely fresh? (Eeeeeewww!) I can't go there. Day old is as late as we ever used. (uuggh!)
