Our family lives high above an old Ohio cemetery (Massillon). There is a local Ghost Hunters Society, and they, along with many others, including groundskeepers, insist that there is paranormal activity there. We've heard "odd" things from the area, and have seen strange lights at night. I never thought much of it except that it was amusing.
OK - I decided to check it out. I wasn't expecting anything other than a fun sunset at the olde graveyard. I have a quality digital voice recorder, a good digital camera, and an open mind. Evening came, and a friend and I arrived at the grounds. We drove through the winding roads, and arrived at the old mausoleums. I have a 2007 Saab. We were listening to the radio, and it out of the blue turned to static. I didn't really think much of it, but it was odd. I stopped the car and we explored the area. Before walking around, I placed my digital recorder in the mausoleum where I stopped. The batteries were new, and it is a high quality recorder. We walked around a bit, saw a deer, took some really pretty pictures. Returning to the car, I reached in between the bars of the mausoleum and retrieved the recorder. When I replayed the hour or so I recorded, it was all static. I reached between the bars and snapped the attached picture.
I have heard by believers in "ghosts" that they are a form of energy - and can be measured. They can cause electrical interference, and can be seen, and photographed as an apparition, or energy burst. I have heard from skeptics that this is natural phenomena. What do you think?
