Encounters of the Dead

Hi! My name is Doreen Cramblet. I'm the one who wrote Ghost Dog. Now I hope you'll enjoy this new story that I am bringing you.
My mom and dad always told me that I had a special gift and that I should tell no one about it. You see I could see the dead. Whenever my family and I went for walks in the park I always stopped at one of the park benches and talked to something that nobody could see but me.
Whenever I did so my parents pushed me forward and I waved good-bye to the ghost that I was talking to.
One day on our way to the park I stopped at the stairs of one of the apartment buildings and started to talk to the thin air or so it seemed to people who couldn't see what I could. People stopped and stared at my family and me.
My dad told them that I was talking to my imaginary friend. When nobody was looking he told me to cut it out. I told him that I couldn't. He told me to block it out then.
From that point on I learned how to block the ghosts out. Whenever I started to see something I turned my head in the other direction.
When I grew up to be a beautiful woman I met the love of my life. We wanted to get married right away and we did. We had two beautiful girls. When we moved into our new home I started to hear laughter that was not from any of us.
The next day when I came home with the groceries I saw a young boy with red eyes. I ignored him and carried on with what I was doing. Soon I saw other ghosts and I could not block them out. One night when I was asleep I woke up to the sound of kids laughter and it wasn't from any of my kids. All of a sudden there was an enormous hurting pressure on my leg. I screamed and my husband rushed in asking me what happened.
I told him I didn't know and rolled my pants leg up. There was a kid's bite mark on my leg. He said, "Oh my god. Did one of the kids bite you?"
I told him that I didn't know and we all left the house right away and never returned.
