I'll be honest. The acting is sub par and the lighting/effects leave a lot to be desired. At times, this movie is actually technically embarrassing. Yet this film has a hauntingly realistic quality and I found it to be very scary, so go figure. I recommend it to lovers of the paranormal - not because of its artistic value - but because it is almost like watching a very well developed episode of one of your favorite ghost hunters on T.V. and you get to see footage you wouldn't ordinarily be able to see.
Carter Simms (Patti Tindall) is a skeptical paranormal investigator. She's tough and independent; using a no-nonsense approach. When she is paid to investigate the Masterson house with a reporter and a cameraman, when they unknowingly encounter a creepy, unannounced - and uninvited - visitor. Mystery shrouds the visitor who obviously has an axe to grind with the crew.
As objects move and lights flicker, the crew begin to gather large, credible volumes of paranormal evidence. Their research pulls them up the stairs and into the Masterson's closet, where they discover the dark, ruinous secrets of the family who died in the house.
For entertainment value and the creepy, cling-to-your-blanket feel, I recommend that you at least rent this flick and watch it once.
