Clinton Iowa Ghosts

I am forwarding this email to you of a picture taken in my nieces apartment from her boyfriends camera phone. She has been experiencing some odd phenomenon... cold spells, cat getting spooked for no apparent reason, and has been seeing ghosts. We are going to be doing some research on the building, but for now all we know is that is was built in the late 1800's and was used as a carriage house at some point. She also has heard rumors that there was a fire in the downstairs main level (which is where her apartment is). This is the strangest photo I've ever seen and I would like to know more about it. She has never felt that she is in danger and has lived there for over 3 years. She lives in Clinton, Iowa.
