Scary
by: Kaitlin

Oh my gosh I see a eye ball on the left side. Then my brother was walking by and looked at the picture. He told us to get up and come over to where he was. We did and saw a face and a lantern it was freaky!

Not Paranormal
by: Anonymous

This is not a ghost this is a reflection of whoever was holding the camera. If you look at it you can see his hand holding the camera just look closely.

Civil War Action In Graniteville
by: Anonymous

There was no real "action" however General Wheeler sent troops to Graniteville and lined them along Horse Creek to guard The Graniteville Mill owned by William Gregg. The mill I think housed dynamite, plus was an intregal part-at that time-of the areas income.

The photo however was not taken in Graniteville. From what I understand this particular person who was in the militia had his own uniform made. If it is who we think it is, he was a very prominent land owner as well as South Carolina native. The family stated at the time he had died of Mercury poisoning from medication, however it is suspected that it was actually suicide due to depression over the war. The south was losing and he feared he would lose everything and his whole life would change.

Civil War Apparition?
by: GrayReb

Was there Civil War activity in Graniteville? This apparition appears to be a Confederate soldier in uniform. Very interesting, indeed.
