Alone In The Dark

One night I was alone in the house and it was pretty quiet, the weather outside was mild, but it was cold and dark. A typical winter night.The lights weren't working at the time so I was sitting on the living room watching MTV and just trying to keep my mind off the fact that I was alone in the dark.

Then out of the corner of my eye, something moved. Fast. At first, I assumed it was my cats, but slowly I realized that both of them were curled up asleep in my lap.

My heart slammed in my chest, and cold shivers sprang up and down my body. I got up, no idea why I did, but I just felt I should. I made my way slowly through th dark hall way, it was so dark nothing was really visible.

Then i heard crying, and suddenly the bathroom light turned on, its funny because the light bulbs weren't even in. Tears dribbled down my cheeks, rolling off my chin. I reached for the door knob and let my self in. There was a sudden rush of air, but nothing was there.

To this day, I still hear crying.
