Yogurt Ghostby Wendy Lippard
yogurt ghost What is even weirder is that my husband says it looks like that character from the Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack. My Grandpa Jack had recently passed away... hmmmm. I have many more pictures of this, you can see that it was not man made... this really happened!!! Jun 20, 2011

Poltergiest
Maybe it was a poltergiest, you said that you heard a bang and then that happened? incase you didn't know, its german for "Noisy ghost" they tend to be noisy as the name suggests, they tend to manifest from the human mind, usually a young children who are craving attention, but are deprived of that attention, more importantly they heat up what ever they touch. Odd...
Perhaps it is in fact your relative's way of communicating to you. Maybe his way of saying "hi"? Did he and your son have a close relationship? If so, it could be his way of keeping up a rather LONG distance relationship with him. Jul 18, 2009

Jack
It does look like jack! If you look closely there is a bit of yogurt on the floor right where the container hit the floor. May 31, 2009

Hi Anonymous
I agree. Why would a ghost appear as a Tim Burton character? I don't think this is a ghost, I just think it's weird!! If you ask me, you gotta love it! Brenda Webmaster May 19, 2009

Most likely fake
This is a very interesting picture. It does look exactly like Jack Skellington. I must say, however, that the mouth and the nose do have some smudging as if it could have been done with a finger. I don't know. I can't see why a ghost would reproduce an image of a Tim Burton character. This also looks like it could have been photoshopped. The yogurt container is lying on the floor, with no trail leading from it to the face. There would be splatter. May 03, 2009

Weird and creepy
What an intriguing image! What strikes me is that, if the face was made by a finger, then surface tension at the edges of the yoghurt would have broken down and made it look more 'smeared on' (particularly around the 'eyes', where the yoghurt is thicker). But there's no trace of this happening. One of those weird and creepy little classic photos that this site is known for! I'd say it's genuine. Whatever 'it' is! Apr 30, 2009

That's mint
I would imagine that if it was a fake the you would see residue of smudging aound the eye and mouth area, but since yogurt drys to a paste and the floor is still shiney, that it must have landed leaving the face shape...what ever happened, it certainly is impressive Apr 28, 2009

Hi Wendy
I accepted this picture, not because I think it is a ghost, but because it is so weird. Who knows? Maybe. . . ? It does look like a finger could have made the smile, but the eyes are perfect and there's no smudge marks in the center. So even if it's not paranormal, it certainly is curious. |
