Location: Caryville Old Cemetery, Caryville, Dunn County, Wisconsin (Correction: The proper name is "The Sand Hill Cemetery")
The Reputed Phenomena: The graveyard was featured on Unsolved Mysteries a few years ago, and they were able to document the ghostly activities in the cemetery.
The ghosts of children have been observed running in the field next to the cemetery.
Some have reported seeing the ghosts of the children playing in the cemetery. The ghosts are even alleged to approach people and speak to them.
A tall, dark, shadowy figure has been seen in the graveyard. This could be "Blackie," the shadowy demon reported at both the Caryville schoolhouse and the Meridean boat landing.
Growling sounds have been reported and are believed to be the hellhounds. Things usually happen in the graveyard after midnight and especially on Halloween. Ouija boards go out of control in the cemetery.
The Investigation: It is doubtful that the cemetery was ever featured on Unsolved Mysteries.
We were unable to locate a secondary cemetery in the woods, and the owner of the land
denies its existence. Investigators have not observed anything paranormal.

My roommate and I were bored one night and took a drive from eau Claire to Carryville and came to a stop between the church and school house.
I was taking pictures of the school house from inside my car and
all of a the sudden something hit my car from the passenger side hard enough to make a loud banging noise, and shook my car from side to side. Needless to say I drove like a bat out of hell and didn't stop until I got back to Highway 37.
I pulled over on the side of the road and looked at
my car. I was sure there was going to be a huge dent, scratch, or some kind of print because that's how hard my car was hit. There was no damage to my car at all. I have a white Saturn so it I would have easily been able to see.
This happened about 3 or 4 years ago. Haven't been back
there since. I was beginning to think there wasn't any hauntings at carryville but boy was I wrong.

My friends and I went driving down an old dirt road that had a dead end sign. We looked at the house next to us which had all the lights on. Standing in the upstairs window was an opaque black figure who was staring at us. It had the form of a human but no color to it

One night a good friend of me and my fiancee told us about Caryville. Not thinking nothing of it we went knowing that I come from a family who can see paranormal things. When we arrived at 11pm we walked up to the school where I felt the presence of 5 kids and 2 adults. Looking in the church windows I seem spirits
walking around. We left and headed for the cemetery in the woods.
The road was narrow and bumpy. On the way up the road I began to shake, sweat and cry due to the evil I felt. I grabbed my fiance's hand and said that something bad was going to happen and that there was something bad
there. I scared him when we hit the mist which is only in a small part of the road and know where else. We finally arrived and it was a perfectly still night.
Then there it was: a wall with about 6 head stones and one with 2 flags. No sooner did I look up and the flags were waving then a
lady wearing a long white gown came up from the ground and started to float towards me. Then she vanished and the flags quit waving.
I felt cold in 90 degree weather. I will never go back.

I believe Carryville really is haunted. Me and some friends went there and had some weird things happen. We went to the Old Sand Hill Cemetery at night and one of the people with us was talking with the ghosts, or trying to, I should say. Out of nowhere we heard a little girl scream bloody murder which could be Mary the little girl who died around that area. We also had
a car follow us through Carryville. Then it disappeared out of nowhere.. I don't care what anyone says or thinks. That place is haunted!
